17 Ramadhan, turunnya Al-Quran

Al-Quran, satu kitab yang agung bagi umat Islam diturunkan kepada junjungan besar kita Nabi Muhammad sallallahu 'alaihi wassalam sebagai mukjizat yang terbesar bagi panduan dan faedah umat baginda. Dengan Al-Quran kegelapan selama-lamanya hilang, diterangi dengan cahaya keimanan dan ilmu yang sangat meluas. Bahasanya yang begitu indah tidak dapat ditandingi oleh mana-mana penyair terhebat. Selama lebih 1400 tahun tidak ada satu huruf pun yang diubah, secara senghaja mahupun tidak, mengekalkan keaslian dan kesucian makna yang dibawa yang sesuai tanpa mengira masa mahupun bangsa.

Sempena dengan Nuzul Al-Quran pada 17 Ramadhan ini marilah kita sama-sama meraikan dan mengagungkannya dengan penuh kesyukuran. Semoga dengannya setiap dari kita khasnya dan umat Islam amnya diberkati dan dirahmati oleh Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala di dunia mahupun di akhirat jua. Amin.....

MPP PHOTOSHOOT SESSIONS

Venue: Around foyer, SMSO

Day 1 - Wednesday, 18th August 2010 (Boys)

Time: 1.00 - 2.00 p.m.

- For majorities of male MPPs who can stay back until 2.00 p.m.

Day 2 - Thursday, 19th August 2010 (Girls)

Time: 1.00 p.m. - 2.00 p.m.

- For majorities of female MPPs who can stay back until 2.00 p.m.

Day 3 - Saturday, 21st August 2010

Time: During Personal Study; morning & afternoon Breaks

- For the rest of the MPPs who cannot attend the previous sessions

Note:

- Wear complete school uniform, including Songkok for boys

- For the afternoon sessions, you are exempted from attending Tedarus

- Blazers will be provided on the spot

- Photographing will be done by Zulfadli and Fa'iqah

- As far as possible, try your best to come in the afternoon sessions

Hopefully the sessions will be carried out smoothly with little or no complications.

Ennobling Ramadhan through Tedarus Al-Quran

On Saturday, 14th August 2010, the launching ceremony of Tedarus Al-Quran was successfully held with the venue in the conference room. The event was attended by the administration's and religious department's staffs, together with the MPPs and PS L1 students. Some religious teachers from a certain religious school were also present.

The event began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah by the head of religious unit, MPP, and the speech by the head of MPP.

Then the actual itinerary commenced, led by the Deputy Principal 1, Ckg. Hj. Hussin. Selected teachers and students took turns in reading the Quranic verses while the rest observed the readings.

The Tedarus ceremony will continue for the whole month of Ramadhan, during Personal Study Block. Students will carry on reading Al-Quran verse by verse, supervised by the appointed teachers, until Khatam can be reached, Insyaallah.
